How does it work?
Andrew and Gavin regularly look to acquire Thoroughbreds that are in current training to provide ownership opportunities in horses that can be at the races in the near future. Within a month and a half of starting, we have had nine runners from four horses with a win and six placings for $68,915 in prize money.
Why wait months and sometimes years, which adds cost after cost, when you can be part of the inner sanctum at the track in such a short space of time. One at the races, you can start enjoying an adventure filled with excitement, creating great friendships and life long memories.
Blackbird Power Racing won’t charge ongoing expensive margins, we only charge the fees that we are charged plus a small daily administration fee of $2.30 + GST per ownership group. Further, if you own more than one horse with us, this daily fee will reduce by 20% for each subsequent purchase.
In addition, unlike other syndication companies, once you join Blackbird Power Racing, you are part of the “family”. We will share with you our analysis of each runner we have representing our stable of horses and the races in which they compete. It won’t be just news on your horse, it will be every horse that Blackbird Power Racing has an ownership share in.
These will be provided via email as a preview in the lead up to a horse starting. These previews have netted a string of wins for punters including a first four paying $427.50, an $11 winner and a $5 place bet. What’s gambling really costing you?

Blackbird Power Racing will charge a $2.30 + GST daily fee. This will reduce by 20% for each subsequent purchase.
What are the anticipated ongoing costs from Paul Perry Racing?
Blackbird Power Racing will pass on all costs incurred with no margin. Owners should budget for an estimated annual expense of $3,000 ($250 per month) per 5% share.
What are invoice terms?
Invoices are payable within 14 days and all invoices are submitted to owners at the conclusion of the month. Payment on time allows Blackbird Power Racing and Paul Perry to continue to keep ongoing costs as low as possible.

How It All Started
You might ask, why is it called Blackbird Power Racing?
The Kelly and Clark families count Blackbird Power as part of their families, so when they decided to venture out on this exciting new Company it was an easy choice to honour the horse that will live long in their memory.
Blackbird Power is a Pacer and is the first horse that Gavin and Andrew raced together. Now in retirement, Blackbird Power spends his days in Gavin’s paddocks in Tasmania. Blackbird Power’s racing career brought plenty of excitement to Andrew and Gavin with 29 wins for Gavin and 24 in their joint ownership, many of which Gavin trained and drove himself.
So we pay total respect to the horse that gave his all and hopefully we have the same luck and joy again.
