Blackbird Power Racing was built on the premise of “Live the dream now”. Good friends and co-founders Andrew Clark and Gavin Kelly started to live their dream on 1 July when they started Blackbird Power Racing and their first horse, a two year old Gelding, called Khumbila, started his career at Kembla Grange, the same day that they purchased into the horse. He ran a big race finishing second at debut. The second part of their premise had come to fruition, they had an absolutely huge experience.

12 days later on 12 July, they bought shares in a further four horses and what a ride they have been on. All four of these additional purchases from mid July have now started. All have either won a race or run a place. The current track record for the stable of Blackbird Power Racing runners stands at 10 starts for one win, five seconds and two thirds. Their first winner was a metropolitan winner at that with Olympic Gaze and the horses have won $72,815 in Prize Money.
