From humble beginnings in July 2023, Blackbird Power Racing has grown steadily to now have ownership interests in nine Thoroughbred's. Of these nine, one is awaiting transport to Australia in the United Kingdom, two are spelling, one has returned from a spell with a Pre Trainer which leaves five currently in work and at racing stage.
In what will be a busy four day period for Blackbird Power Racing all five are a chance of racing across Australia between Thursday and Sunday of this week.
Majestic Style is due to kick things off at Gosford on Thursday in the Benchmark 64 1900m at Provincial level. After a dominant win at Gosford last start, which even drew applause from her home land of New Zealand (www.richhillstud.co.nz/news/archive/56652/vadamos-vadamos-mare-bounces-back-to-best), Majestic Style looks well placed for back to back wins, "she will be real hard to beat" were the encouraging words of Stable Foreman, Nathan Perry.
New York Scandal will then turn the attention of Blackbird Power Racing to Victoria as this ever consistent mare competes over 1200m at either The Valley or Kilmore. After resuming at Ballarat over 1000m at Ballarat, New York Scandal which greatly appreciate a return to 1200m and an improved showing is on the cards.
Things will then step up a notch on Saturday with Olympic Gaze and Sibaaq (GB) nominated to run at Rosehill. Olympic Gaze will appreciate a slight drop back in grade in a Benchmark 78 1900m affair as he warms up to tackle the Beauford at his home track in coming weeks. Sibaaq (GB), meanwhile will be out to atone for his unlucky fourth at The Valley on night one of the Cox Plate Carnival with his nomination in the $750,000 Rosehill Gold Cup.
Rounding out the busy spell will be perhaps the most intriguing horse Blackbird Power Racing has purchased to date. After an electric trial on the Beaumont track, Zoe Shark will step out for the first time for the Paul Perry stable under the groups ownership as she tackles a class 1 over 1000m. With several of her original owners combining with a number of first time owners, Zoe Shark typifies the approach of Blackbird Power Racing which is designed to go racing in a flash, enjoying the exhilarating experience. After being purchased in late September, she was fully sold across October and will be racing in early November. Given Zoe Shark ran a last 600m in her trial in less than 33 seconds after showing blistering early pace, a prominent display is on the cards.
What ever these four days will hold, it clearly shows that with the right people and the right horses, that you can enjoy the experience and live the dream now. A magnificent four days of Thoroughbred Horse Racing awaits.
